Rostov law enforcers deport suspected militant from Russia
A citizen of Uzbekistan, who, according to the FSB, intended to join militants in Syria, has been deported from Russia, the FSB reports today.
According to the Russian FSB, law enforcers deported Mansurbek Umarov for violating the regime of stay in the country.
On December 11, 2018, Mansurbek Umarov was detained on suspicion of contacts and assistance to members of terrorist organizations in Syria. During the interrogation, the man confessed that he used a messenger to contact people from the Syrian city of Idlib, controlled by international terrorist organizations, reports the FSB Department for Rostov.
"The man also said he planned to leave for Syria and join militants," the "Interfax" reports with reference to the press service of the FSB Department for Rostov.
Mansurbek Umarov is a citizen of Uzbekistan, so he was deported to his homeland, reported a source from the law enforcement bodies as quoted by the "Rostov Official".
