Activist detained in Ingushetia after rally announcement

Urus Kurskiev, an Ingush activist, who had called for a march of the sons of the deported nations of the Caucasus to be held today, was brought to the Centre for Countering Extremism (CCE or "E" Centre) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Ingushetia.

Kurskiev declared the action in his Facebook, noting that it would be a "peaceful action" and there would be no political demands moved, as well as no violations of public order.

"They say that I am not detained, just brought for a preventive conversation," Kurskiev said.

According to his story, he still does not know whether the march will take place.
