NKR claims 220 shelling attacks during the week

On February 10-16, Azerbaijani soldiers fired more than 1700 shots at the positions of the Defence Army of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), the NKR's Ministry of Defence (MoD) has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on February 3-9, the MoD of the NKR recorded 300 cases of truce violation by the Azerbaijani party.

"On February 10-16, Azerbaijan violated the ceasefire in the Karabakh conflict zone for about 220 times. The Azerbaijani Armed Forces fired made over 1700 shots at the Karabakh positions," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent quotes the statement of the press service of the NKR's MoD.

The fire was delivered from small arms, while the Defence Army didn't break the truce in response, the MoD has stated.

As of 3:30 p.m. Moscow time on February 16, the MoD of Azerbaijan did not respond to this statement. However, in its turn, the MoD is regularly informing about the shelling of its positions by Armenia and the NKR. Thus, over the past 24 hours, according to the MoD, there were 25 such cases.
