Comedy Woman's producer criticizes Ingushes' reaction to joke

Stars of the TNT TV Channel have recorded a video clip with apologies to Ingushes for a performance in the Comedy Woman programme; it was done at the insistence of their bosses. Feeling of insult at the joke is a manifestation of weakness, while the apology for the show fragment was a manifestation of strength, Natalia Eprikyan, the producer of the show, has stated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in December 2017, the TNT stars had to apologize to residents of Ingushetia for a fragment of the Comedy Woman programme. Social network users asserted that a scene with a prostitute from Ingushetia was performed in the show.

Angry users threatened to "catch" the offenders and make them "beg forgiveness kneeling." The building of the TV Channel was practically blocked.

Ms Eprikyan has admitted that the reaction of the Ingush audience scared some of her team members. However, she called the threat of disgruntled users to be "occupational hazards."

The actors of the Comedy Club "did what they should have done" when they apologized to the Ingush audience, Natalia Eprikyan believes.

Earlier, the figures popular with the youth already had to apologize to the natives of Northern Caucasus for their words. In particular, Vyacheslav Mashnov, a rap singer, known under the pseudonym of "Gnoiny" (Purulent) apologized for his "unfortunate joke" about Chechen and Armenian girls.
