Landmine wounds one in Chechnya
A federal serviceman was seriously wounded having triggered an antipersonnel mine in the mountainous district of Vedeno (in the south of Chechnya), a source with republican law enforcement agencies said. The incident occurred near the village of Dyshne-Vedeno.
"The soldier sustained multiple shrapnel wounds and was admitted to hospital," the police officer added.
