Azerbaijani native reports to court about blackmail from Ingush law enforcers
A victim in the case against agents of the Ingush Centre "E" told the court how law enforcers beat him and promised to kill him in a forest. They demanded money with threats to spread information about his intimate affair, the victim reported.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that seven employees of the Centre for Combating Extremism of the Ingush Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) were accused of murder, robbery, extortion, several episodes of abuse of power with the use of violence against detainees, and other crimes.
At the today's hearing, the court question victim Amil Nazarov, an Azerbaijani native, who complained that law enforcers extorted money from him in 2016.
Amil Nazarov reported that on November 9, 2016, three persons in masks detained him not far from his house and took him away to some unknown place.
"On the way, one of them called someone and said: 'Send me that record through WhatsApp.' In a while, he got an audio record, a conversation between a man and a woman of an intimate nature. One of them began to demand from me to admit that the speaking man was me. I refused, and then they began to beat me with hard objects," the victim said.
The men in masks demanded from the man to pay them one million roubles but then they stopped at 800,000 roubles, Amil Nazarov said. With the phrase: "Pay and work on," they released the man and tell them to find the money within a month. The kidnappers seized an Amil Nazarov's car and iPhone as a pledge. Later, when he complained about his kidnapping, the car and IPhone were returned to him, the victim noted.
