At rally in Gukovo, miners demand the promised coal

Today, at their protest action, former employees of the "Kingcoal" Company have stated the absence of the promised payments and coal; and that with the onset of cold weather they have nothing to heat up their homes.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that since mid-2016, former "Kingcoal" workers are regularly holding actions demanding the payment of wage debts and issuance of the due rationed coal.

The today's rally was held near the Culture Palace of the "Rostovskaya" Mine in Gukovo, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

"The point is about the coal promised by Mikhail Tikhonov, the Minister of Industry and Energy of the Rostov Region, to the needy 'Kingcoal' miners back in 2017. Then the minister said that he would help to find 1000 tons. Of the promised miners, 700 tons were brought to the miners; 300 tons left for which many hope," Ms Avachova told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to her story, actions will stop as soon as miners receive the promised coal and wage debts.
