Kulayev case under way in N Ossetia

Hearing of the case of Nurpashi Kulayev, the only survival out of the 32 terrorists who attacked school No 1 in Beslan, continues in the Supreme Court of North Ossetia.

It was planned to interrogate victims and to read out the evidence of those who would not have come to the trial today. However, the victims summoned for the interrogation have not come to the courthouse. Therefore, a representative of the state, prosecutor Maria Semisynov, has begun to read out the evidence of those victims who have refused to come to the trial. "With their consent, their pre-trial evidence is being read out," Anzhela Suanov, Press Secretary for the republic's Supreme Court, explained the day before.

One thousand three hundred and forty-three people have been recognised victims in the Beslan terrorist act case, 215 already interrogated for the time being. More than 150 pieces of evidence have been read out at the trial, according to the Supreme Court's press service.
