Pensioner abducted in Chechnya

A group of armed people in camouflage uniforms abducted an elderly woman in the capital of Chechnya on the night of 21 October, a source with republican law enforcement agencies told Caucasian Knot's correspondent.

"Last night, in Grozny's Leninskii district, unidentified people in camouflage uniforms driving vehicles with darkened windows captured and brought away an elderly local resident, Rosa Jaubatyrov. Operations are under way currently aiming to identify and detain the abductors. It is so far unclear what served as the ground to abduct an elderly woman on a pension as Ms Jaubatyrov is," the source with Chechnya's Internal Affairs Ministry said.
