Media report about suspected killer of policeman in Baksan District

According to sources, a 26-year-old resident of the Atazhukino village was put on the wanted list on suspicion of killing a policeman in Kabardino-Balkaria.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 3, a policeman was found dead with gunshot and knife wounds in the village of Atazhukino in the Baksan District of Kabardino-Balkaria.

A suspect has been identified, and law enforcers started to search for a 26-year-old resident of the Atazhukino village, the IA "Region Online" reports with reference to a source from the law enforcement bodies.

According to the preliminary information, the suspect took part in clashes in the village of Kendelen.

On September 18, residents of the Balkar village of Kendelen did not let participants of the procession organized in memory of the 310th anniversary of the Kanzhali battle to pass through the village. The refusal provoked clashes. On September 28, Valery Khatazhukov, the head of the Kabardino-Balkarian Human Rights Centre (HRC), reported that all the detained activists had been set free.
