On Independence Day, residents of Abkhazia report people's disunity

On the day to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the victory in the war of 1992-1993 and the declaration of independence, residents of Abkhazia complained about the deplorable state of the economy and the lack of people's unity. According to the Abkhazian journalists, the main achievement during the above period is the recognition of Abkhazia by a number of countries and a peaceful existence with an external threat.

On September 30, a military parade was held in Sukhumi, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports. In his speech, President Raul Khadjimba noted the help of "brothers from the Northern Caucasus, volunteers from Russia, South Ossetia, Transnistria, and other countries." He also called the recognition of the Abkhazia's independence by Syria an important event.

The main achievement of the republic is the victory in war and independence, noted David, a resident of Sukhumi.

Said, a resident of the city of Gulrypsh, shares his opinion. He noted that in Abkhazia, people live separately.

Arthur, a resident of Agudzera, believes the holiday let people forget about the problems for a while and remember the price of the victory.

According to Nugzar Salakaya, the editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Gal", the main achievement within 25 years since the end of the war is the recognition of the Abkhazia's independence by Russia and a number of other countries.
