Defence of Mikhail Benyash succeeds in seeking his hospitalization

In the course of the court hearing to pronounce the pre-trial restriction measures, medical officers diagnosed advocate Mikhail Benyash with pneumonia. The court postponed the hearing for September 28, and Mikhail Benyash was hospitalized, his advocates reported.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that advocate Mikhail Benyash, who was detained in Krasnodar on September 9 together with participants of an unsanctioned rally against the pension reform, was arrested for 14 days and sentenced to 40 hours of compulsory labour. On September 25, the Leninsky District Court of Krasnodar prolonged his detention by 72 hours, and a new charge was filed against the advocate - an attack on policemen and obstruction of justice.

According to Mikhail Benyash, he was beaten after his detention on September 9. On September 11, the International human rights organization "Amnesty International" (AI) recognized Mikhail Benyash as a prisoner of conscience and demanded to release him immediately.

During the court hearing held on September 25 on the election of the pre-trial restriction measure to Mikhail Benyash, the advocate felt bad, and medical officers invited to him diagnosed pneumonia.

After the court hearing, Mikhail Benyash was brought to the hospital.
