Parents of Gasanguseinov brothers demand a meeting with Vladimir Vasiliev

Today, in Makhachkala, a father and a mother of the brothers-shepherds killed in the Dagestani village of Goor-Khindakh, have held a picket in the hope to meet the leader of the republic. The parents demanded to punish the persons who killed their sons, but no officials came out of the building to meet the Gasanguseinov spouses.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Nabi and Gasangusein Gasanguseinov were killed on August 24, 2016. Law enforcers declared them to be militants, who opened automatic fire at policemen. The casualties' fellow villagers demanded to punish those responsible for their murder, asserting that the brothers were shepherds and had no relation to the militants.

The parents of the killed Gasanguseinov brothers have started their protest action in the centre of Makhachkala at 12:30 p.m. Moscow time.

"So far, no person guilty of killing our children has been brought to criminal responsibility," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Murtazali Gasanguseinov.

According to him, the picketers want to report the case to Vladimir Vasiliev. "We want to report to him about the lawlessness that the law enforcement bodies create. We do not want to meet other members of the Dagestani government, since they failed to solve our problem. We will seek a meeting with Vladimir Vasiliev," Murtazali Gasanguseinov has emphasized.

Until 3:00 p.m. Moscow time, the picketers were not allowed entering the building of the Dagestani government, and no officials or their representatives came out to the protestors. The picketers were approached only by policemen. When they found out who the protestors were and what goals they had, the policemen left the place.

The parents of the killed Gasanguseinov brothers have announced their intention to continue their protest action until the leader of Dagestan meets them, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.
