Law enforcers stop searching for militants on border between Chechnya and Ingushetia

In the forest on the border between Chechnya and Ingushetia, fighters of the National Guard of Russia found no accomplices of three suspects who were killed in a shootout with Chechen law enforcers. Residents of Chechnya questioned the official version about the shootout.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 16, three militants were shot dead near the border with Ingushetia in the Achkhoi-Martan District of Chechnya. On September 18, law enforcers began searching for accomplices of the killed suspects.

According to the "Law Enforcers" Telegram channel, the killed suspects were identified as Anatoly Khadjiev, a 35-year-old resident of Kabardino-Balkaria, Osmandjon Kochkarov, a 32-year-old native of Kyrgyzstan, and Movsar Aleroev, a 26-year-old resident of Ingushetia. The militants were plotting to commit a terror act in Chechnya, the law enforcement bodies suggested.

An official from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) for Chechnya noted that the killed militants were well armed.

Some residents of Chechnya expressed their doubts about the official version concerning the liquidation of a group of militants in the Achkhoi-Martan District.

"How did two former participants of the war in Syria from Kabardino-Balkaria and Kyrgyzstan get to Chechnya? In our republic, people are imprisoned even for an intention to leave for Syria. As far as the third killed suspect, a resident of Ingushetia, is concerned, everything is also not clear. He was listed as disappeared for more than three months," noted Aslanbek, a Chechen NGO member.
