A video of Dagestani "Rosavtodor" chief's detention appears on Internet

An operational video record disseminated on the Internet shows how law enforcers detain Magomedrasul Omarov.

Magomedrasul Omarov, the chief for Dagestani branch of the Road Administration "Kaspiy", was detained on September 4. Law enforcers carried out searches at the office and house of Magomedrasul Omarov.

The TASS reports that the official was detained within the investigation into the theft of the budget funds allocated for the reconstruction of highways.

According to the preliminary information, 17 billion roubles were embezzled. In particular, the "Mostootryad-99" Company, a part of the "Summa" Group, was suspected of entering cartel collusion.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Magomed Magomedov, the former senator from the Smolensk Region, and his brother Ziyavudin Magomedov, who control the "Summa" Group, are accused of fraud and organization of a criminal community to steal budget funds for the amount of 2.5 billion roubles. The brothers are to be kept in custody until November 5, and their assets are arrested.
