Two abducted in S Ossetia

Two Georgians have been abducted in South Ossetia. The victims are Ushangi Zubashvili, 65, and Mamuka Giguashvili, 14, according to the Georgian media. The incident occurred in Mamisaanti in the so-called neutral territory between the Georgian village of Ergneti and the capital of South Ossetia, Tskhinvali.

Several people in masks, speaking Ossetian, broke into the house of Ushangi Zubashvili and brought away the house owner and the boy without indicating the destination, according to the abducted boy's mother, Natela Giguashvili. The woman has asked the Georgian government to take measures to find her relatives, RIA Novosti says.
