Convict in Sefilyan's case stops hunger strike

Arthur Movsisyan, who was found guilty of transferring firearms to the participants of the movement "100 Years Without Regime" in Armenia, has stopped his hunger strike because of health problems, his advocate has stated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 4, 2017, a court in Armenia sentenced Arthur Movsisyan to three years in prison, having found him guilty of storing and transferring weapons to the supporters of the oppositionist Zhirair Sefilyan. On July 20, a Movsisyan's advocate said that his client had gone on hunger strike demanding to release him from custody.

Movsisyan started his hunger strike on July 18 and stopped it on July 20, Araik Papikyan, his advocate, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to the advocate, Arthur Movsisyan has health problems that worsened; he was operated on for eight times well before his arrest.
