Ramazan Aliev convoyed to Moscow
The former Vice Prime Minister of Dagestan has been placed to the Lefortovo SIZO (pre-trial prison), sources from the law enforcement bodies report today.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 4, Vladimir Vasiliev, the acting leader of Dagestan, signed a decree to dismiss Ramazan Aliev from the post of the Vice Prime Minister of Dagestan. On the same day, Ramazan Aliev was detained, and his house was repeatedly searched.
Investigators verify the Ramazan Aliev's involvement in several episodes related to possible abuse of power.
Ramazan Aliev was taken to Moscow, a source from the law enforcement bodies of Dagestan reports. According to the source, it is expected that today, the court will pronounce a form of the pre-trial restriction measure to Ramazan Aliev, the "Youth of Dagestan" reports.
The same information has been confirmed by a source from the law enforcement bodies of the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD). The source has also added that Ramazan Aliev was taken to the Lefortovo SIZO in Moscow, the TASS reports.
It should be noted that Abdusamad Gamidov, the former acting Prime Minister of Dagestan, his deputies Shamil Isaev and Rayudin Yusufov, as well as Shakhabas Shakhov, the former Minister of Education and Science of Dagestan, are being kept in custody in Moscow. They are accused of fraud for more than 100 million roubles. Meanwhile, they plead not guilty.
