Sources report detention of Dagestan former Vice-Premier

Ramazan Aliev, the Deputy Chairman of the Government of Dagestan (Vice-Premier), dismissed today, was detained after questioning, law enforcement sources have stated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, Vladimir Vasiliev, the acting head of Dagestan, has signed a decree on the dismissal of Ramazan Aliev; his house was searched.

"After the questioning, Ramazan Aliev was detained", the TASS quotes its source in power structures of the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD).

Aliev is suspected of exceeding his official powers that caused a damage amounting 15 million roubles. His detention was conducted by FSB officers, the "Chernovik" reports citing its source close to power agencies.

So far, no comments have been made by Ramazan Aliev's representatives.
