On June 20, the Council of Delegates for the Kurchaloi District of Chechnya approved Khamzat Kadyrov, a nephew of the Chechen leader, as the head of the municipal administration.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 6, Khamzat Kadyrov was introduced as the deputy head for the Kurchaloi municipality, and on May 21, he was appointed the acting head for the Kurchaloi District administration.

Khamzat Kadyrov is a son of Zelimkhan, an elder brother of Ramzan Kadyrov, who deceased in May 2004.

Khamzat Kadyrov's appointment as a permanent chief for the Kurchaloi District has been reported today by the administration for the leader and government of Chechnya.

It should also be noted that the appointment of 21-year-old Khamzat Kadyrov as the district head continued the sequence of appointments of Chechen leader's relatives to the leading posts in the republic.

According to political analysts, such a rotation of personnel in Chechnya can be explained by a shortage of the Ramzan Kadyrov's proxies and it leads to problems with personnel and alternative sources of information.
