Georgian law enforcers tell about mother with children detained in South Ossetia

Russian militaries have detained a woman with two young children near the village of Atotsi on the border with South Ossetia.

The detainee was not brought to the detention centre in Tskhinvali and was released, the Georgian "Channel One" reports.

The woman was detained while trying to visit her relatives in South Ossetia, the "Georgia-Online" has added.

The Georgian village of Atotsi is located on the Georgian-South-Ossetian dividing line. Close to it is the village of Balta, Znaur District, which after the 2008 military conflict occurred on the Ossetian side. Many residents of the two villages are relatives.

It is not specified why the woman was brought for interrogation.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 5, the Stat Security Service (SSS) of Georgia announced detention, by Russian border guards, of two Georgian residents: a priest from the village of Dirbi and a shepherd from the Gori District. The priest was soon released; and the shepherd was taken to the detention centre and later handed over to Georgia.
