In Kuban, a schoolboy disappears during orienteering competitions
In the evening on June 8, the 12-year-old orienteering competition participant disappeared during a training run in the forest in the Crimean District of the Krasnodar Territory. His search is underway, investigators report today.
According to the investigators, the boy came to the Neberdjaevskaya Cossack village to the "Patriot of Kuban" camp together with other children from the orienteering circle and a coach. A training run around the camp was started at about 6:00 p.m. Moscow time on June 8. The boy had a compass and a map with him, but was lost in the forest.
Rescuers, policemen, volunteers, and Cossacks are looking for the boy, and special vehicles are engaged in the search, reported on its website the Investigating Department for the Krasnodar Territory of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).
