NKR's authorities urge to celebrate the "last bell" in schools modestly
The "last bell" has rung for 2672 school graduates of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR). Parents were offered not to celebrate the event magnificently, but replace it with excursions.
During the events held on the occasion of the "last bell", there were no violations of public order in Stepanakert and other dwelling settlements, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by the NKR's police.
The unrecognized republic has two state universities – the State University of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) and the Shushi Technological University, – as well as three non-state universities.
According to the NKR's Ministry of Education, every year, over 2000 entrants join the country's universities and colleges.
Narine Agabalyan, the NKR's Minister of Education, Sciences and Sports, has noted that, unfortunately, the recent trend is to celebrate the "last bell" brightly, which entails high expenses.
Kristina Gasparyan, the mother of one of school graduates, said that her family spent 200 US dollars for the events related to the "last bell".
