Armenia: political analysts state loss of Constituent Parliament's influence after Pashinyan's victory

After the transfer of power into hands of Nikol Pashinyan and his team, the "Constituent Parliament" (CP) will become an opposition, Armenian political analysts believe. However, in their opinion, it is unlikely to be a serious opponent to the new authorities because of high confidence in the Prime Minister.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that with Pashinyan's advent to power, protests did not stop.

The CP's has reported that no protests are planned yet.

In the opinion of Armen Badalyan, a political technologist, because of its radical nature, the CP movement has lost its relevance after the revolution.

He believes that before the "velvet" revolution, the CP and the "Sasna Tsrer" were perceived not as a political force, but as a movement that fought against Serzh Sargsyan.

Armen Kazaryan, a political analyst, has noted that there are few supporters of the CP left.

According to Akop Badalyan, a political observer, people saw that changes can also be achieved through bloodless protests; and this changed the mood in the society. He sees no serious opposition to the new authorities in the foreseeable future.
