Nikol Pashinyan released in Yerevan

After his release, Nikol Pashinyan met Karen Karapetyan, First Prime Minister of Armenia, and demanded to set free all the detained demonstrators.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Nikol Pashinyan, Ararat Mirzoyan and Sasun Mikaelyan, MPs from the opposition "Elk" bloc, were among 277 demonstrators who were detained by the police in Yerevan on April 22 and who demanded the resignation of Serzh Sargsyan from the post of the Prime Minister of Armenia.

All three opposition leaders Nikol Pashinyan, Ararat Mirzoyan and Sasun Mikaelyan were released and left the Yerevan remand prison, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reported at 2:14 p.m. Moscow time.

After a meeting with Karen Karapetyan, in his comments to journalists, Nikol Pashinyan noted that he "should analyze all the events and make a decision concerning further steps." "Meanwhile, our goal has not changed," said Nikol Pashinyan.

The opposition leader has also added that all the activists detained and arrested at rallies and marches should be set free.
