Azerbaijan shells civilian vehicle, Armenia says

On April 12, The Azerbaijani militaries shelled an Armenian civilian truck, the Armenian Ministry of Defence has stated.

The attackers opened fire at a civilian truck near the Baganis community in the Tavush Region of Armenia, as Artsrun Ovannisyan, the MoD's press secretary, wrote in his Facebook page, adding that the driver remained safe and sound.

"After the response shots fired by Armenian units, the enemy fell silent," Mr Ovannisyan wrote on April 12 in his entry, placing a photo of the shelled truck.

On the same day, April 12, Edward Antinya, the spokesman for the "Spaika" Company, announced the shelling of the company's truck on the Facebook, the "Armenia-Sputnik" reports. The shot was made by a sniper from the territory of Azerbaijan, aiming at the driver; however, he missed, and the bullet hit the side rear-view mirror.
