Parents demand to investigate schoolboy beating in Makhachkala

The parents of a teen beaten up in the territory of a school in Makhachkala have complained about the absence of a proper reaction of school authorities and law enforcers to the incident.

On November 20, 2017, an adult relative of his girl-classmate beat up the nine-form pupil at the school, the mother of the beaten pupil told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. "The relative learned that the classmates are in correspondence; he didn't like it. Without clarifying the circumstances, he came to school and severely beat up my son, threatened him with a knife," said the mother.

"When I was told about the incident, I ran to school. When I saw my son's condition and found out the circumstances of the incident, I called the police and an ambulance, although the school administration was to do it," the mother has added.

Doctors diagnosed multiple traumas and fractures in the schoolboy.

In November, shortly after the incident, the mother complained to the Dagestani Ministry of Education about the inaction school bosses, but has received no response to her application yet.

In his turn, his father has appealed to the Children's Ombudsperson under the head of Dagestan with a complaint about investigators' work. In father's opinion, investigators have incorrectly qualified the attacker's behaviour, which could lead to his escape from responsibility.
