Head of charity organization disappears in Makhachkala

Relatives of Kazbek Abdurashidov, the head of the Dagestani charity organization "Nizam Centre", can not find him for nearly 24 hours, and do not rule out his kidnapping.

"Kazbek disappeared on January 11 in Makhachkala... His neighbour saw some people put him in a car; we assume that they could be policemen," an Abdurashidov's relative told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, adding that relatives believe that he was kidnapped.

The members of the local Public Oversight Commission (POC) have joined the search for the missing person, Magomed Gadjiev, a POC member, said.

"We found out that Abdurashidov was kept at the Kaspiysk police department; we went there, but didn't find him," he has added.
