Kabardino-Balkarian athlete Maria Lasitskene wins All-Russian tournament

Maria Lasitskene (Kuchina), an athlete from Kabardino-Balkaria, has won the All-Russian tournament in high jump and pole vaulting.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 23, Maria Lasitskene (born Kuchina, in March 2017, the athlete married sports journalist Vladas Laskitskas and took his surname) won the international track and field event "Christmas Starts" in Minsk. The All-Russian Athletics Federation declared Maria Lasitskene (Kuchina) to be one of the two best athletes of 2017.

Today, in Chelyabinsk, the All-Russian Athletics Federation has launched the second stage of the winter tour the 36th All-Russian tournament "The Yuri Lukashevich and Vyacheslav Seryodkin Memorial". Maria Lasitskene overwhelmed the height of 1.95 meters, the TASS reports.

Let us remind you that in 2017, Maria Lasitskene successfully competed at various tournaments in high jump. On July 6, the athlete set her personal record of 2.06 meters at the stage of the international track and field events "Diamond League" in Lausanne. On August 12, 2017, Maria Lasitskene won the gold medal at the World Athletics Championships in London.
