Southern republics become outsiders of Russian salary rating
Dagestan and Adygea took the last lines in the rating of the Russian regions in terms of the number of highly-paid employees and the level of the average salary. The rating has been compiled by the RIA "Rating". Kabardino-Balkaria, Chechnya and Kalmykia were also mentioned among the outsiders of the rating.
According to the rating, in nine regions of Russia, the share of people who earn less than 10,000 roubles a month exceeds 25%. Dagestan has become the leader with 35% share of low-paid worker, and the second place went to the Karachay-Cherkessian Republic (KChR) with 30.5%.
The authors of the rating note that in the Republic of Dagestan, the median salary is also 4.5 times lower than the average employee's salary in the most prosperous region of Russia.
According to the rating, the last two lines - the 85th and 84th - are occupied by Dagestan and Adygea. Kabardino-Balkaria, Chechnya and Kalmykia are on the 83rd, 81st and 80th lines. The number of the twenty regions with low salaries also includes Karachay-Cherkessia, which occupies the 73rd place.
Meanwhile, the median average salary for the regions occupying the bottom lines of the rating varies from 13,600 roubles in Dagestan to 16,200 in Adygea.
