Disappeared resident of Makhachkala found at police station

Azamat Aliev, whose relatives complained of his disappearance, was detained after a grenade had been discovered with him, reported the police of Makhachkala. Today, he has been taken into custody.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 5, Ruslan Aliev, a resident of Makhachkala, complained of disappearance of his son Azamat. On that day, the father got an SMS-message from his son's phone reporting Azamat was taken to the police station and a grenade was planted on him there.

According to Ruslan Aliev, officials from the Soviet District ROVD (District Interior Division) of Makhachkala informed relatives of the Azamat Aliev's detention and of a grenade found with him.

On December 6, Azamat Aliev was brought to a detention facility, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed by the spokesman for the Soviet District ROVD of Makhachkala.

Ruslan Aliev told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that Azamat Aliev worked as a master to install gas equipment. His name was not included in the police prevention registration list, and he never had problems with the law enforcement bodies. Besides, he was not a practicing Muslim, his father noted. The relatives of Azamat Aliev waived a public defender and hired an advocate.
