Paraglider who went missing in KBR found dead
Rescuers have found the body of a tourist from the Moscow Region in the mountains. They handed it over to the policemen in Nalchik.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the paraglider, who was flying in the area of the Azau Meadow, disappeared on December 1.
The search operation ended this morning. The body of the paraglider, who was fatally injured while flying on his parawing, was found in the floodplain of the Azau River, says the website of the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR).
"Apparently, his parachute failed to open; the guy fell into the river and was dragged by the flow under the ice," the RIA "Novosti" quotes Abdullah Guliev, the head of the Elbrus Search and Rescue Unit of the Russian MfE.
