Dagestani villagers report planting proofs on their detained relatives

Law enforcers have detained several residents of the Dagestani village of Rutul, accusing them of setting fire to the district administration building, their fellow villagers have reported. Relatives of the detained men assert that narcotic drugs and ammunition were planted on them at detention.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that at night on September 14, the building of the Rutul district administration was completely burnt down. After the fire, administration sources said that certain circumstances indicated an intentional arson.

According to relatives, the detained Rutul villagers Suleiman Guseinov, Muradin Eminov and Akim Kuliev are kept since November 3 at the Makhachkala SIZO (pre-trial prison). Their relatives assert that drugs and cartridges were planted on them at detention; now, they are accused of the arson of the building of the district administration.

"They were detained allegedly on suspicion of arson and theft of a large sum of money, which was allegedly taken out of the building before the fire. Their houses were searched; <…> and drugs were planted on them; and one of them was planted with both drugs and cartridges; it was done in the eyes of the house owners," the "Kavkaz.Realii" has quoted today one of the detainees' relative.
