On November 5, the DPS checkpoint near the village of Yandare was attacked. A militant committed suicide bombing.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that various sources reported the death of one of the policemen injured in the explosion at the DPS checkpoint, while mentioning a different number of victims: from two up to four. On November 6, the press service of the Ingush leader reported that five policemen were hospitalized and one of them died. On the same day, the information was confirmed by a source of the "Interfax".

One of the wounded policemen died of wounds during transportation to the Ingush Republican Clinical Hospital. Five other policemen got injuries of varying severity, reported the message posted on the website of the Ingush MIA at 5:02 Moscow time on November 6.

At an extraordinary meeting of the antiterrorist commission and the operational headquarters of Ingushetia, Ingush leader Yunus-Bek Evkurov has confirmed that the attack on the DPS checkpoint is related to the previous attack on it.

The attack on the DPS checkpoint has become the second attack on the DPS checkpoint near the village of Yandare in less than three weeks. The previous attack occurred on October 19, when an assailant was killed and identified as 20-year-old Magomed Miziev. According to the law enforcement agencies, on November 5, during the attack on the DPS checkpoint, Magomed Murzabekov was killed. He was a friend of Magomed Miziev, and the new attack on the DPS checkpoint could be motivated by revenge, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by a Magomed Murzabekov's neighbour.
