Dadaev and Gubashev start talking about Putin's role in Nemtsov's murder case

The "first person of the country" did not like the fact that Boris Nemtsov was murdered near the Kremlin. This was declared by Zaur Dadaev and Shagid Gubashev in their final speeches. The convicts believe that the law enforcement agencies had to report urgently on the solution of the crime, so they decided to bring the innocent persons to justice.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 10, the Supreme Court (SC) of Russia slightly mitigated the verdict in the case on politician Boris Nemtsov's murder. The SC cancelled the fines, but upheld the terms of imprisonment.

On July 13, the court sentenced five natives of Chechnya, accused of killing Boris Nemtsov. Zaur Dadaev, who was found by investigators to be the killer, was sentenced to 20 years in prison; Anzor Gubashev, Shagid Gubashev, Tamerlan Eskerkhanov and Khamzat Bakhaev were sentenced to long prison terms, from 11 to 19 years; while the consideration of appeals against the verdict was scheduled for October 10.

The Supreme Court (SC) of Russia has announced its verdict after the convicts delivered their final speeches, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

In his final speech, Zaur Dadaev insisted he had an alibi. He also claimed that "no one conducted an investigation into the complaints of torture."

"I did not commit that crime. Nothing is proved, and I have an alibi. The matter is the first person of the country did not like the fact that Boris Nemtsov had been murdered near the Kremlin walls. Therefore, law enforcers found us in order to show their work," said Zaur Dadaev.

Anzor Gubashev has also told the Court that he was tortured. "Our complaints of kidnappings and torture are not unfounded. I ask to cancel the verdict and to send the case for a new consideration," said Anzor Gubashev.

Shagid Gubashev has told the Court that he was tortured on the first day after his detention. He has also said that "the first person of the country did not like the fact that Boris Nemtsov had been murdered near the Kremlin."
