Policeman and student killed in shooting in Khasavyurt

A passerby opened fire on a police car in the city of Khasavyurt, killing a police sergeant and a young man in the car, the “Chernovik” (Draft) weekly reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, during a counterterrorist operation (CTO), conducted in the Khasavyurt District of Dagestan, an alleged militant and a civilian were killed; a policeman was wounded. Later, the Russian National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) reported that the leader of a militant grouping named Motsaev was killed.

The incident occurred tonight in Krasnaya Street in Khasavyurt. Policemen stopped, allegedly to check documents, two young men and put them into a patrol UAZ van, the "Chernovik" reports.

When the van took off, a passerby opened fire at it, killing a police sergeant and one of the young men, a student of the agricultural college, the weekly writes citing its sources.
