KBR completes its quota for Hajj

A quota of 390 people allocated for the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) for the pilgrimage to holy places in Saudi Arabia has been completed. This was reported by an official from the Spiritual Administration of Muslims (SAM) for the KBR.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that by June 20, 130 KBR residents submitted their applications for pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia.

"This year, a quota allocated to our republic for pilgrimage remained unchanged making 390 people. And we collected that number of people (last year, the figure exceeded 300 people.) The first group leaves for Saudi Arabia by direct flight on August 17," the TASS quotes Khyzyr Misirov, the first deputy chief of the SAM for the KBR.

According to his story, the oldest KBR pilgrim is 83 years old, and the youngest will be a 24-year-old young man this year. Most of the pilgrims are men.

There is an organizing committee in the republic, which helps with obtaining visas and providing transport and support. On the way, believers will be accompanied by four SAM staff members.

In 2017, the cost of a tour to Saudi Arabia varies from 2000 up to 3100 US dollars.
