Krasnodar judge denies spending on her daughter's wedding

All the expenses for the daughter's wedding were born by her father, the former husband of Elena Khakhaleva, a judge of the Krasnodar Territorial Court, the judge herself has stated in response to reports of the mismatch of her incomes with the costs of the wedding celebrations.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the information that Elena Khakhaleva, a judge of the Krasnodar Territorial Court, spent, as the Moscow lawyer Sergey Zhorin had asserted, two million US dollars for the daughter's wedding, caused a resonance in social networks.

"My former spouse was completely engaged in organizing our daughter's wedding. He is a fairly large entrepreneur and is able to pay for the wedding," the "Rossiyskaya Gazeta" quotes Elena Khakhaleva as saying today.

She treated the above sum of expenses of two millions US dollars as "complete delirium. As they say, the figure was taken from the ceiling."

Elena Khakhaleva found the assumptions about her super-high incomes as unjustified. "What sort of check should be made in my relation? It's not my wedding, it's the wedding of my daughter that her father had paid for. He has his incomes; all of them are legal; and taxes are paid on them," the above newspaper quotes her as saying.
