Ecologist Olga Noskovets holds picket against construction in floodplain of Dagomys River

The activist has held a protest action in front of the construction site of high-rise buildings, where the construction works were conducted even on a day off. This was reported by the of the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

In her hands, the activist was holding a poster reading: "Dagomys may face the fate of Krymsk. No construction on river! Armavirskaya Street SOS!”

"The construction in the riverbed results in artificial blockage of the riverbed. Even with a small rain, a dam will appear, and the construction works will contribute to rise in the level of the river and its flooding. Apartment buildings in Armavirskaya Street and new buildings will be washed away," stated Olga Noskovets.

The activist has expressed her doubt that the newly commissioned houses were built without violations.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 18, at a meeting, residents of the Dagomys residential district decided to inform the population about the danger of flooding of residential houses in case of building up of riverbeds with high-rise buildings.
