In KBR, two men detained when trying to leave for Syria

A resident of Nalchik and a citizen of Kyrgyzstan, detained in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR), are suspected of preparations for leaving for Syria to join militants. This was reported by a source from the regional law enforcement bodies.

"At the airport of Nalchik, law enforcers detained a 20-year-old local resident, who intended to leave for Syria by transit through Turkey to join the ranks of international terrorist organizations banned in Russia and active in Syria," said a source from the law enforcement bodies.

Besides, law enforcers detained a 21-year-old citizen of Kyrgyzstan, temporarily residing in the KBR. According to the law enforcement authorities, he "also intended to leave for Syria to take part in the hostilities on the side of the militants." "Both detained men were recruited by terrorists through the Internet," the RIA "Novosti" quotes today a source from the KBR's law enforcement bodies as reporting.
