Case on attempt on head of Chechnya raises questions about Kadyrov's reconciliation with Yamadaevs

The reconciliation of Isa Yamadaev with Ramzan Kadyrov could be formal; therefore, the development of a conflict situation is possible, said the experts, interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot", in their comments on the inquiry into the attempt on the head of Chechnya.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 30 the "Novaya Gazeta" reported that Chechen policemen got on trail of organizers of the failed assassination attempt on Ramzan Kadyrov in the village of Benoi; and that members of Yamadaev family, considered as Kadyrov's "blood enemies", were among the attackers.

Alexei Malashenko, a member of the Scientific Council of the Moscow Carnegie Centre, says that it is difficult to answer the question on whether Isa Yamadaev had taken the reconciliation with Ramzan Kadyrov seriously.

Malashenko does not rule out that the war of the clans "may continue."

Mikhail Roschin, a senior researcher at the Institute of Oriental Studies, has noted that Kadyrov's reconciliation with Yamadaev "was long ago," and did not rule out that the reconciliation was just a formality.

"In any case, Yamadaev preferred to go abroad, where he lives now," said Mikhail Roschin.

According to his version, the story may have "absolutely any continuation."

"It is not known to what extent the detained fighters, suspected of the attempt, are blood-associated with Yamadaev," said Roschin.
