North Ossetia had no victims of armed conflict in Q4 2016

In October, November and December of 2016, in the territory of North Ossetia-Alania, there were no victims of the armed conflict between power agents and militants. These are the findings of the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from other open sources.

In Quarter 1, 2 and 3 of 2016, the republic also had no victims.

The above statistics cannot reflect with absolute accuracy the real number of victims. Not all the data gets into news reports. It is not always possible to verify the truthfulness of law enforcers' statements; and sometimes new data about the events of the reporting period become known after the publication of statistics by the "Caucasian Knot".

In 2015, there were no victims of the armed conflict in the republic, while in 2014 one person was killed in the course of the armed conflict. In 2013, at least three persons perished: one civilian and two suspects of involvement in illegal armed formations (IAFs).
