In Ingushetia, five persons arrested on suspicion of involvement in IS

The Magas District Court has taken into custody five persons detained on suspicion of involvement in the "Islamic State" (IS), banned in Russia. This was reported by the Prosecutor's Office.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the FSB announced the arrest of five members of a grouping associated with the IS. According to law enforcers, the suspects were plotting terror acts in Ingushetia and Moscow, and two bombs with power of 10 kg of TNT equivalent and ammunition were found at the suspects' place.

The website of the Ingush Prosecutor's Office reports on arrest of residents of Malgobek, the Sunzha and Nazran Districts. The oldest of the arrestees is 30 years old, and two younger are 21 years old. They are suspected of involvement in a banned organization, created by 23-year-old Zubair Sautiev, who returned from Syria. Zubair Sautiev was killed in Nazran on October 7.

  • Two natives of Northern Caucasus injured in shootout near “Wildberries” office in Moscow

    A shootout took place near an office of the “Wildberries” Company in the centre of Moscow. As a result, at least one person has been killed and several others have been wounded, sources report.
