In Makhachkala, doctors report on stabilization of situation with poisoning
In Makhachkala, the number of patients admitted to hospitals with signs of acute intestinal infection, has decreased. Specialized wards earlier opened in a number of clinics for receiving people who fell victim to poisoning were closed. However, despite the ban, many local residents continue to drink unboiled water. This was reported by patients of the "National Centre for Infectious Diseases". Meanwhile, the authorities claim that the water quality has been improved significantly.
As of November 14, 175 patients poisoned with water still stay in Makhachkala hospitals. On that day, 14 new patients were brought to hospitals.
The patients of the "National Centre for Infectious Diseases" interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" associate hospitalization with the fact that people still use unboiled drinking water.
Meanwhile, the Dagestani Ministry for Public Health has reported that the situation with the poisoning has been stabilized.
According to the Joint-Stock Company (JSC) "Makhachkalavodokanal", in the capital of Dagestan, period of hyper-chlorination of water has been extended on prescription of the "Rospotrebnadzor" (Russian Federal Service for Consumer Supervision).
