In Makhachkala, 41 people discharged yesterday from hospitals after poisoning
By the evening of November 11, in Makhachkala, 176 people still stayed in hospitals after mass poisoning. This was reported by the Dagestani Ministry for Public Health. That is 41 people less than the number of people who stayed in the hospital in the morning of the same day.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that starting from November 4 the mass vaccination was underway in the capital of Dagestan. As of November 10, more than 39,000 people were vaccinated. In the morning of November 11, a source from the Dagestani Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) reported that 217 people still stay at hospitals of Makhachkala with symptoms of acute intestinal infection.
In the capital of Dagestan, the mass poisoning of people with water occurred after on October 27, city residents reported on supply of dirty water to their houses after the completion of the works at the Miatli HPP. The "Rospotrebnadzor" (Russian Federal Service for Consumer Supervision) announced it would require the complete liquidation of the "Makhachkalavodokanal" as the main culprit of the incident.
According to an official from the Dagestani Ministry for Public Health, the number of the people who stay in hospitals includes 108 children.
"More than 400 calls came to the 'hot line' from the citizens who suffered from poisoning with drinking water," added Rustam Shakhbanov, a lawyer of the Dagestani Department of the "Rospotrebnadzor".
