Mosque employee reports detention of Salafis all around Khasavyurt

Power agents have conducted raids of a number of mosques in the city of Khasavyurt, said an employee of one of them. He quoted a district policeman who said that raids were organized within the extremism prevention campaign.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today it became known from the visitors of the mosque, known as "Bolnichnaya", in Khasavyurt that power agents had conducted a raid, during which they detained about 200 believers, who came to their Friday namaz (prayer).

The territory of the mosque was completely cordoned off by policemen, said one of the eyewitnesses, adding that mother of one of the Muslims tried to fight her son back from power agents, but they still took him away.

The information about mass detentions was confirmed by an employee of the above mosque, who noted that the number of detainees may exceed 200 persons, because detentions were held in other mosques too.

Let us remind you that in Dagestan detentions of Salafi mosque believers are conducted regularly: the detainees and taken to police station, where they entered into the so-called "prophylactic register".
