Dagestani policemen release detained LDPR activist
At the police station, Larisa Bachieva, an activist of the Dagestani branch of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR), detained during a rally in Makhachkala, wrote an explanation letter concerning the rally and was released after a talk to law enforcers.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Larisa Bachieva, the deputy coordinator of the Dagestani branch of the LDPR, regularly holds pickets with the demand to cancel the results of the elections to the State Duma, held in September, and to provide her with housing under the programme for support of Russian-speaking population. Today, in Makhachkala, Larisa Bachieva has held her eighth picket. She has been detained and brought to the Soviet ROVD (District Interior Division).
"Policemen said they had nothing against me and my actions. They told me that they got an instruction 'from above' to remove me from the square," noted Larisa Bachieva. According to the activist, she intends to continue her actions.
