Defence of Adnan Khuade impugns credibility of witnesses

The Maikop City Court has obliged two persons, who witnessed the detention of Circassian activist Adnan Khuade, to provide printouts of their mobile phone calls for the day of the defendant's detention. Advocates of Adnan Khuade believe that staff members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) could ask the witnesses to come to the place of the activist's detention.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Circassian activist Adnan Khuade, a repatriate from Turkey, is accused of attempting to bribe an inspector of the road police (known as GIBDD).

During the court hearing, witness Kopylov, who introduced himself as an employee of the Limited Liability Company (LLC) "Zolotaya Rybka" (Goldfish), failed to answer the questions voiced by the Adnan Khuade's advocates who asked him how many times he filed complaints against people or organizations to the law enforcement bodies.

Kopylov has promised the Court that he "will provide a printout of his mobile phone calls for May 4-5, 2016, at the next court hearing."

The Court has also questioned witness Tatiana Khadjieva, who introduced herself as an employee of a private security company. She is also expected to provide a printout of her mobile phone calls at the next court hearing.

According to advocate Iland Abregov, the policemen could provoke the activist to "offer the money for a bribe."

The advocate has also noted that earlier, one of the witnesses has admitted that the policemen asked her to come to the place of the Adnan Khuade's detention.
