One of men killed in Makhachkala identified as Amalatbek Bogatyrov

In the course of a special operation in Makhachkala, it was Amalatbek Bogatyrov who was killed and not Aziz Djamaludinov, as it had been reported earlier. This was announced by the law enforcement bodies.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 7, counterterrorist operation (CTO) legal regime was introduced in Izberbash and the Kirov District of Makhachkala. Law enforcers cordoned off the houses, which, according to them, were sheltering members of the armed underground, involved in the attack on the police on August 12.

According to the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC), six people were killed in Makhachkala and Izberbash, including Magomed Khalimbekov, the leader of a local grouping of militants. In addition to Magomed Khalimbekov, the number of men killed in Izberbash also included Rinat Osmanov and Bagaudin Magomedov, and in Makhachkala Rashid Umakhanov, Aziz Djamaludinov, and Nazir Kasumov, the law enforcement bodies report.

"The suspects killed in Makhachkala have been preliminary identified as Rashid Umakhanov, Nazir Kasumov and Amalatbek Bogatyrov. In Izberbash, in addition of Magomed Khalimbekov, Rinat Osmanov and Bagaudin Magomedov were neutralized," reports a source from the law enforcement bodies. He has also added that all the killed suspects were on the wanted list.

According to the law enforcement bodies, Aziz Djamaludinov and Amalatbek Bogatyrov, natives of the village of Ullubiyaul of the Karabudakhkent District, left for the forest in May after killing a man from their village. Amalatbek Bogatyrov had earlier criminal record for aiding and abetting militants, the "Novoe Delo" reports.
