In Gukovo, miners deny information on payment of wage arrears to hunger-strikers

The wage arrears amounting to less than 10 million roubles have been paid to the miners not involved in the protest action. This was claimed by participants of the hunger strike in Gukovo. Today, according to their information, the number of hunger-strikers reaches 65 people.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the Rostov Region, the authorities have reported about payments to 222 miners. 184 workers of the company "Kingcoal" were paid their wages on August 26, and other 38 people received the first payments on August 25. This was reported by the regional authorities.

The participants of the protest action in Gukovo have denied the authorities' information on the payment of wage arrears to workers of the "Kingcoal" involved in the protest. In their conversation with the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, the miners also did not confirm the authorities' statements that the workers had allegedly given the details for transfer of money from the "Regional Development Corporation". "Firstly, we ask to pay all the debts at once. Secondly, none of the protesters did ever provide the details for transfer of money," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Dmitry Kovalenko, one of the organizers of the protest action.

According to him, in order to divide the protesters, the authorities "have paid the amount not exceeding 10 million roubles to the workers not involved in the protest action." Meanwhile, earlier, according to the hunger-strikers, they have unanimously rejected the partial repayment of the wage arrears.
